Feelin the LOVE!

So today I practiced Meditation twice! Once at home ( I like to do it first thing when I get up) and once after my hot yoga session!  Once again, Johnna (instructor) empowers me! After yoga she does a 20 minute meditation with whomever wants to stay.  Well, let me tell you....I'm SOOOOO GLAD I stayed! She had us envision sitting on top of a grassy hill with open prairie, forests and oceans around us.  While envisioning sitting on top of this bright green grassy hill, we were to look down.  When we looked down we were to "see" the faces of all of our loved ones.  These loved ones were radiating their joy and love for me.  I felt an overwhelming sense of calmness and peace surround me.  She also asked that we think of someone that needs to be showered with that joy and love that is being expressed to us.  It provided me with a sense of forgiveness as well but also allowed me to wrap my love around the people in my life that I know need it the most.  I hope they felt the healing touch of my thoughts wrap around them during these 20 minutes!  Wow! I definitely felt the LOVE and left with a GIANT smile on my face!! The other reason I left with a smile on my face was because I was finally able to do a headstand during yoga! I've accomplished crow and bird of paradise and have been dying to get to that headstand! Well I DID IT!! I'm so proud of myself!! :)  It's definitely not perfect (either is crow or bird of paradise) but hey...at least I'm getting stronger! Ha!

So have you given your one compliment or word of encouragement today?  Even if it's not in your nature (yet) to share a compliment with someone, just smile at a stranger or two!  We should all be feelin' the LOVE!!

Peace, Love, and Happiness

  3. Bird of Paradise is such a graceful pose. I haven’t been able to do it yet myself. Leeann Carey, an amazing teacher, has a great free yoga video on this pose. Thought your readers might want to check it out: http://www.planetyoga.com/yoga-blogs/free-yoga-video-birds-of-paradise-pose/
